About 17 years ago I got a scanner, a pencil and some felt tip pens.
That was the start of a journey that was inspired by horror, fantasy and science fiction, I didn't realise it at the time but my brain does not work quite the same as many others.
Flash forward some frusterated years which saw me take an interest in film where I spent my early 20's studying before deciding to get a diploma in photo imaging, photography you say? Art? The first lession my lecturer gave he bluntly told us he didn't teach art and this was 100%true, he taught the technical, chemical, mechanical and lighting aspects of photography...he taught us what went on "under the hood" and I liked it.
The next few years were spent in pursuit of small, medium and large format film photography mediums using all manner of rail cameras through to techniques dating back 100's of years, my subjects were generally people in a variety of expressive situations, I couldn't handle boring so I became adept a light and processing of black and white materials....that was until I found other adventures. This page is maintained for posterity although there are some things to come...
